Hello, my name is Matt, and I offer professional private drum instruction for students of all ages and skill levels, with nearly a decade of full-time teaching experience.

Credentials & Experience

• Teaching private drum lessons full-time for nearly a decade.
• Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from studies at M.I. and the Berklee School of Music.
• A lifetime of playing experience (currently 37 years old).

Service Overview

My teaching style is enjoyable and tailored to each student. I focus on your personal goals, whether that's learning to read music or playing by ear, and ensure lessons are engaging by incorporating music you love.

Services Offered

• Private Drum Lessons for all skill levels: beginners, intermediate players, and those returning to the instrument.
• Instruction available for students as young as 7 years old, with no upper age limit (current students include those in their 60s and 70s).
• Lessons can focus on technique, music reading, specific songs, or general skill advancement.

Location & Format

• In-Person: Lessons are held in a private Northridge/North Hills studio (near Nordhoff & Balboa) equipped with two full drum sets. Students need only bring sticks.
• Online: Lessons are also available via Skype, FaceTime, or Zoom.

Pricing

$80 for a one-hour lesson.
$50 for a thirty-minute lesson.

Rates are the same for in-person and online instruction. For children and online sessions, a 30-minute lesson is recommended to start.
