- Former Royal Navy Instructor Officer
- Professional national docking coach.
- Holder of a British Royal Navy 5000-Ton Warship License and an International Yachtmaster Offshore 200-Ton Captain's License.
- Experience with both power and sailboats ranging from 20 to 130 feet.
